Job Opening: Program Director, Mississippi River Delta Restoration

National Wildlife Federation (NWF), America’s conservation organization passionate about protecting wildlife for our children’s future, is seeking a dynamic and dedicated person to serve as Program Director for Mississippi River Delta Restoration. This person will be responsible for:

• Developing and leading NWF’s campaign to secure a national commitment to the restoration of the Mississippi River Delta
• Engaging national constituents, including sportsmen and outdoors interests, on behalf of Mississippi River Delta restoration
• Working with partner organizations on a coordinated campaign lobbying effort for Mississippi River Delta restoration
• Coordinating national efforts with state-level efforts to develop and advance an ecologically sound and sustainable Mississippi River Delta restoration program
• Assisting with development and implementation of a targeted national media strategy on behalf of Mississippi River Delta restoration.

Qualifications:

• Proven campaign, lobbying and advocacy skills
• Excellent communication and writing skills
• Minimum five years senior level experience with policy or grassroots advocacy campaign
• College degree; advanced degree desirable
• Leadership/project management skills and minimum 3 years supervising staff
