Reconnecting the Mississippi River to its delta to protect people, wildlife and jobs.
Our Goals
- Ensure the creation and implementation of a Mississippi River Delta restoration plan which will incorporate a multi-disciplinary, science-based, comprehensive approach with both federal and state buy-in.
- Establish a multi-disciplinary, joint state and federal governance team with authority, capacity and leadership to implement a plan.
- Secure adequate funding to implement a Mississippi River Delta restoration plan.
- Expand the understanding of what is possible for Mississippi River Delta restoration through science, economics, restoration project implementation and increasing public support for delta restoration.
